Accommodation
The UTS campus is surrounded by an array of accommodation options, you really are spoiled for choice. We have included a couple of suggestions below.
The Novotel Sydney Central is by far the closest to the UTS Business School, and is great.
A great budget option is the Central Studio Hotel Sydney.
The Wake Up! Sydney Central is our hostel pick.
The economic historian’s choice is certainly the Oaks Sydney Goldsbrough Suites. Located 15 minutes away on foot, or a 10 minute bus ride away, the Goldsbrough building is located on the western side of Darling Harbour, in Pyrmont. The building dates back to the 1800’s when it was used as one of at least 20 working wool stores on the Pyrmont peninsula. It received bales of wool from all over NSW to be showcased then sold. In 1995 the heritage building was converted to apartments, with the exterior true to the original design and the interior a striking atrium with many of the warehouse’s original features.
Transport
The UTS Business School is conveniently located in Haymarket, a 10-15 minute walk from Central station, a 5-10 minute walk from the lightrail (closest stops are Paddy’s Markets or Haymarket), and with numerous bus lines running along Broadway or down Harris Street.
All public transport in Sydney operates on the Opal network. You can tap on with your Opal card, or simply tap using your credit or debit card. Easy!
